The knotting technique of macrame is back in style!  Skilled macrame artist, Debra Manera, will demonstrate how these knots work together to create new and different designs to complete a beautfiful macrame keychain.  

The fee for the class includes ring and cord.  *Students will need pins and board to secure the macrame project.

Travel the scenic route and enjoy the fall colors at its best.  Upon arrival we will be split into groups.  While at the Corning Museum of Glass, enjoy lunch included at the museum restaurant with your luncheon voucher.  The voucher will cover an entire lunch - any money left on voucher is good at the museum gift shop.  Our group will enjoy a tour of the Corning Museum of Glass, view a glass blowing demonstration show, stroll the museum and visit the gift shop.  Participate in The Fun with Glass activity.  Participate in the "Hands-On" workshop and make your own glass pumpkin.  This tour is sure to be a sell out!  Book early!  

*Your glass work must "cure" overnight and will be shipped to Know How Tours.  A date will be set to pick up.  

ALL RESERVATIONS ARE BASED ON SEATING AVAILABILITY. EARLY REGISTRATION IS RECOMMENDED.

Idea Builders Lego Club is dedicated to nurturing your child's creative and critical thinking as we work with Legos. Our weekly themes contain age-appropriate exposure to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) concepts. Each week, students are introduced to a different STEAM concept through a mini-lesson, followed by Lego creating, building and sharing.

Intro to Graphic Design

This is a basic introductory course to graphic communications. Students will be taught three of the major programs that are used by graphic designers in today's print production industry.  The course will cover the skill sets needed to be successful with graphic design software.  Students will learn theoretical aspects of graphic design.  Those topics will include: principles and elements of design, typography, and color theory.

Begin with lunch at the Glen Iris Inn, located in Letchworth State Park.  Then proceed to the annual Letchworth Arts & Craft Show, sponsored by the Arts Council for Wymoning County, which presents the finest of artists, artisans and craftspeople from all over the country.  The show takes place at the Highbanks Recretion Area of Letchworth State Park.  Enjoy peak fall foilage at the spectacular "Grand Canyon of the East", along with the best in pottery, paintings, quilts and fiber arts, handcrafted jewelry, photography, funiture, decorative painting, dried floral pieces and more -- just in time for holiday gift shopping.  Over 300 artisans, display their wares with plenty of food vendors and many other activities for the whole family.  Tourists will have approximately 3 1/2 hours to visit the 300 plus craft vendors.  *Please wear comfortable walking shoes - there IS walking involved in this tour.  Choose one entree when making reservation - Lemon chicken or roast beef.
