Self Defense - Krav Maga with The Warrior U - Ages 13-Adult

Join the owner of The Warrior U, Joe Gizzarelli, 4th Degree Black Belt in Karate and 3rd Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga, for instruction and practice in Krav Maga, reality-based self-defense. This course is designed for teens and adults, ages 13 and up. You'll learn how to protect yourself, your family, and those around you. Instruction will cover defending against grabs, pulls, chokes, and how to effectively strike back. We'll also discuss everyday situations that might feel unsafe and you'll develop the confidence to deal with potential threats, enhance your social awareness and instincts when out in public and get a fantastic workout!

Spanish for the Elementary Years - Grades K-5 - Errick Road Elementary School

4-Hour ACT Boot Camp
with All Pro Tutoring

Get a jump start on your ACT test preparation! While many colleges have gone test optional, the early data has shown that students who submit SAT or ACT test scores have an admissions advantage. The ACT test is held in equal esteem as the SAT test by most colleges and universities. This two-session comprehensive course introduces students to the ACT test with emphasis on test-taking strategies, testing information, how to best prepare for the ACT test, and practice questions in each subject. Course includes: workbook/study materials and a free simulated ACT test.

Stone Carving - Intro: Sculpting a Greenman

Join the Artists from Celtic Nature Studio for a two-week introductory class on the basics of soft stone carving with hand tools. Students will design and create a small sculpture of a traditional Greenman. This class is appropriate for both beginners and more experienced artisans. Students will : Learn basic soapstone relief carving techniques Learn basic safety procedures for carving stone Understand how to work with geometry and stone morphology to create facial expressions. Hand tools and stone will be provided. Participants should bring a pair of heavy work gloves, a dust mask, as well as a ruler or tape measure.
