Does your child enjoy Physical Education and Sports? Do you want your child to have more physical activity, learn about sports or connect with new peers their age? This three-week course, taught by James Maleck, a certified Physical Education Teacher here at Niagara Wheatfield, will keep your kids active, teach friendly competition, and introduce the rules and gameplay of sports. Some activities include kickball, soccer, basketball, football and so much more!
*Students will enter and exit at the Miller Road Entrance

Kids Yoga - Grades K-5 - After School - West Street Elementary School

Imagine a class where your child gets to learn yoga poses, play games, learn songs, and practice different breathing techniques to help with frustration and anxiety and work on relaxation. This six-week kids yoga class is based on the Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) system. Incorporated in the class is cardiovascular conditioning, fun, original music, plus all of the traditional benefits of yoga: meditation, breathing techniques, peace, and deep relaxation. KAY provides an amazing curriculum designed to motivate children to be active, build confidence, and manage the spectrum of emotions that they experience in their day-to-day activities. KAY is stress management for kids!
Babysitter Training Course for Children - American Red Cross

Designed primarily for youth ages 11 and older, this five-hour course will prepare students to be better babysitters. Topics include how to provide care for infants and children; how to stay safe; what to do in an emergency; how to choose age-appropriate activities; and how to recognize and handle a variety of behaviors. Students will learn the basics of starting a babysitting business. The course consists of six interactive modules featuring video, activities, games and tools babysitters can use to build their knowledge and skills and manage their babysitting business. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a printable Amerian Red Cross certificate. Please bring a bagged lunch and/or snacks and a filled water bottle. If your child is sensitive to the sight or discussion of blood, please inform the instructor.

Get a head start on the language by joining The Enrichment Company, for an educationally oriented curriculum that is specifically designed for the K-5 student to learn the Spanish language. This unique and exciting program features foundation vocabulary introduced through games, singing, and fun activities! Students are able to compound words and begin forming simple sentences. Early introduction increases the student's ability to absorb rather than translate language. New vocabulary is introduced with each session!
