$178

with Kevin Cottrell

Calendar Oct 2, 2021 at 10 am, runs for 3 weeks

Come and experience what might have been one of the country's first multi-cultural humanitarian efforts - The Underground Railroad.

Kevin Cottrell, of Motherland Connextions, will begin the three-session course with a class orientation on the issues that created this movement globally, nationally, and locally. Students will also explore some of the local grass-roots efforts that put this story in the local forefront in both Niagara and Erie counties. The class ultimately transitions onto our mobile classroom depending on participation in the course. We will move around using 15-passenger vans, mini-coaches or full-passenger motor-coach.

This course uses three sessions:

#1 classroom orientation

#2 Underground Railroad tour of Erie County

#3 Underground Railroad tour of Niagara County.

So steal away with us as we explore the highways and byways in Western New York that played a pivotal role in this National movement all with the roar of the might Niagara at our feet!
