Learn to Make Your Own Affirmation Cards

Come brainstorm with us as we create 10 powerful statements that will fortify and strengthen the power of manifesting positivity in your life.  Together we will also learn some visual design ideas, layouts, tools, and resources that will reinforce the power of your affirmations.  We will get "hands-on" and begin the creation of our own personal affirmation deck in class.  An inspirational affirmation deck makes a wonderful home-made personal gift to give yourself or others.  Whether you have artistic experience or not, you will be able to begin designing your cards in class and be given starting blocks to complete your creations at home.

Get a jump start on your ACT test preparation! While many colleges have gone test optional, the early data has shown that students who submit SAT or ACT test scores have an admissions advantage. The ACT Test is held in equal esteem as the SAT test by most colleges and universities.  This comprehensive review course introduces students to the ACT test and includes:  test-taking strategies, testing information, study materials and a free simulated ACT test.  For the simulated test schedule and registration information visit:

Afterschool Abstract Artist Series - Paul Klee - Grades K-5

Students will be introduced to the Swiss-born German artist, Paul Klee.  Klee was best known for painting, drawing, watercolors and printmaking based on expressionism, futurism, cubism, surrealism, and abstraction.  Students will use their creativity skills to create a city collage, watercolor castles, and a puzzle based on the works of Swiss-born German artist, Paul Klee.

Nancy withWiseClasses will answer your questions and give you the skills to work and play in today's electronic world.  Nancy will cover basic computer skills for all computer users on all devices as follows:  turning the darn thing on, connecting to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, video calling, accounts, passwords, the cloud, signing in and signing out, email, downloading PDF files, clicking (following) a link, copy and pasting verification codes, scanning QR codes, calendar and maps, texting and taking "selfies", pictures.  Learning to use your devices properly will help to make your life easier and give you more time to just enjoy living!  *Bring your smartphones, tablets, and laptops.  Email address and smartphone number required when registering.

Get Ready for Halloween - Craft Your Witch

Are  you ready for Halloween?  Join JoAnn from ElmRose Creations for a night of ghoulish wood crafting fun!  We could always use one more decoration, right?  Decorate your witch to your liking with paints and cut-out designs.  This two-session class will allow you to have some fun decorating your Halloween design the way you like it.  The first evening you will paint the cut out of the witch and add the designs such as eyes, nose, mouth, ghost, sign, buttons (all wood cut outs).  Any engraving needed will be done between classes.  The second evening you will assemble everything so you can place your 28-inch witch in your garden or gift it!  Please wear old clothes and be prepared for a trick or treat!

Working With Google Sheets - Funded Specifically for Residents Within the Niagara Wheatfield CSD

Students will create, edit, and format spreadsheets using Google Sheets directly into their web browser! Dana will instruct students on the creation, editing, and formatting of formulas and functions in spreadsheets using Google Sheets. Instruction will be given on visualizing spreadsheet data in charts, graphs, and tables, as well as Google Classroom is a free web servicedeveloped by Google and part of the G Suite for Education to help schools streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students. Students will learn how to share spreadsheets with others for real-time collaboration! Utilizing Google Sheets will be a great asset to students in both home and at work.

Ancient Craft of Basket Weaving II

In this two-week session workshop students will be guided by skilled craftsman Glenn Wienke, to perfect their skill in the ancient craft of basket weaving.  Students will enjoy a fun, relaxed atmosphere while creating their 8 x 10 inch basket by integrating both color and woven patterns using naturally dyed reed in multiple widths.  

*Students will need:  One yardstick, medium-sized scissors and screwdriver, absorbent dish towel, 10-12 clothespins with springs, pencil, paper weight such as a one-pound box of spaghetti
